Best of the Decade! Xiamen Airlines Wins 'Best Airline' for 2023

On June 14, 2024, at the 2024 CAPSE Annual Summit held in Hangzhou, China, winners of the 10th CAPSE Aviation Services Awards were revealed. Xiamen Airlines was honored with two prestigious awards for 2023: the "Best Airline" and the "Civil Aviation Innovation Pioneer Award". This marks Xiamen Airlines’ a decade of consecutive winning CAPSE "Best Airline" award.

Since its establishment in 2014, CAPSE Aviation Services Award has garnered significant industry attention and stands as one of the most credible awards in the civil aviation industry. Based on the CAPSE passenger evaluation big data platform, the 10th CAPSE Aviation Services Awards covered a total of 228 airlines and 327,960 flights, and collected 1.176 million authentic passenger feedback questionnaires throughout the year, reflecting a more than doubling of the sample size from the previous year. The data covered passenger evaluations on every aspect of their journey, from ticket purchase, check-in security inspection, to onboard service and luggage services.

With great importance to the passenger experience, and the mission of "helping more people travel around the world", Xiamen Airlines is committed to providing global passengers with warm, thoughtful, safe, reliable, eco-friendly and comfortable flight experience. Xiamen Airlines has pioneered a new development model of services led by brands, and launched three major service brands that cover the entire passenger journey: the air service brand Tianji Gallery, the catering brand Chef Xiamen Air, and the ground service brand Xiamen Airlines Egret, of which the service of Tianji Teahouse and the high-end catering and wine service of "A Starred Journey" are popular among passengers. Xiamen Airlines continues to extend its air tourism service chain, widens its service boundary, and makes efforts to create a new ecosystem of air travel life. Last year, in collaboration with Universal Beijing Resort, Xiamen Airlines launched the two themed painted airplanes "Jurassic World Isla Nublar" and "Minion Land", offering a new experience of cultural tourism services. In recent two years, Xiamen Airlines has successively launched its coffee brand Little Gallery, as well as self-own products like "Explore the World", "New Horizons" and "1984 Wuyi Rock Tea" of Chateau Xiamen Air. In addition, Xiamen Airlines plays an active role in building a supporting e-commerce matrix, further strengthens interactions and contacts with customers, and enhances brand influence. In 2023, Xiamen Airlines was once again recognized as a "World-class Airline" by APEX, securing a spot in the global top eight. This year, Xiamen Airlines stood out among hundreds of mainland Chinese airlines and won the "Best Airline" award for 2023, which is a testament to passengers' re-confirmation for Xiamen Airlines' continuous pursuit of service excellence.

The Civil Aviation Innovation Pioneer Award evaluates nominees based on six dimensions: application number of cases in the 2023 Civil Aviation Innovation Competition, comprehensive maturity of the application cases, business coverage related to passenger experience, alignment with the civil aviation strategies of China's 14th Five Year Plan, coverage of management elements, and sustainability of innovation. In addition to upholding its principles and maintaining innovation, Xiamen Airlines actively shares its successful experience in services and other aspects. At the 2023 Civil Aviation Innovation Case Competition, Xiamen Airlines' three projects: "A Starred Journey First-class Meal and Wine Service ", "New Tea Culture Service System - Tea Tasting Time Service Product," and "Star Egret User System", won the innovation awards, ranking first in China in the number of awards received.
