Luggage Check-Through, No Recheck-In: Xiamen Airlines Rolls Out Full Coverage of “Overnight Connect” Service, Making Transfers in Xiamen Easier

For passengers flying from overseas to Xiamen and connecting to domestic cities the next day, there is no need to collect luggage or check in again - thanks to Xiamen Airlines’ newly launched “Overnight Connect” service. On May 29, 2026, Xiamen Airlines added 18 more overseas destinations to its Overnight Connect service. With the newly added routes, the service now covers all 25 overseas destinations currently served from its Xiamen hub, marking another milestone in the airline’s transfer service capabilities.

The newly added destinations include Singapore, Bangkok, Osaka, Hanoi, and several other cities. In response to significant variations in procedures and standards across different stations, Xiamen Airlines set up a dedicated task force to unify operating procedures. The airline also worked closely with airport customs, security, logistics, and other partners to streamline luggage transfer and flight connections, ensuring smooth and efficient transit services. Passengers making overnight connections in Xiamen to domestic flights can now enjoy the convenience of one-time check-in at the point of origin, a single ticket for their entire journey, and luggage check-through.

This service upgrade also lays a solid foundation for the upcoming transition to the new Xiamen Xiang’an International Airport.
