Xiamen Airlines Launches All-New Egret Miles Frequent Flyer Program, Benefiting 30 Million Members

On January 1, 2026, Xiamen Airlines rolled out a completely re-imagined Egret Miles Frequent Flyer Program, using “Travel Without Limits” as its central theme and carrying out a full-scale upgrade of its frequent-flyer plan. Drawing on extensive member feedback, the new scheme set to go live in July 2026 delivers simpler qualification rules, an expanded miles ecosystem and upgraded benefits for more than 30 million members. It is the carrier’s most ambitious step of living up to its promise of “Integrity First, Guests Supreme.”

Breaking down scenario barriers: three headline upgrades

Centered on what travelers actually need, this program overhaul rewrites qualification rules, the miles ecosystem and elite perks, tearing down the old walls of airline-only benefits and turning the philosophy of “Traveling Without Limits” into everyday reality.

On the VIP-status front, the program introduces the innovative “Qualifying Points” benchmark and switches to a pure-spend qualification model that slashes the mental load for members. Every coin paid for any Xiamen Airlines ticket converts directly into Qualifying Points, and each flight earns an extra bonus on top - so every single journey counts. What’s more, spending on ancillary services and partner-ecosystem purchases is also folded into the tally, widening the path to status and making it easier for every type of traveler to qualify. Critically, any points earned above the qualification threshold in the current period carry over to the next, delivering a “no-points-wasted” safety net that lets every traveler reach VIP status faster and more easily.

The miles-earning and redemption system is upgraded in parallel, also adopting a spend-based accrual model: members receive award miles calculated from the cash amount paid, multiplied by a product-category coefficient and a tier-level coefficient, so every transaction delivers a visible return. The scope for redeeming miles is further expanded to cover tickets in all cabins, the purchase of trip-adding services, and a diversified range of everyday spending scenarios, building a full-chain “flight + life” ecosystem that makes every payment go further. To address miles validity, the new program introduces a rolling-extension policy-any member who records a single miles redemption during the year will have all miles due to expire that year automatically extended to the following year.

Member-care benefits are becoming more granular, with tailored services for different groups: VIP members can apply for a one-click status extension during special periods such as pregnancy or medical treatment; members aged 65 or above and those under 12 enjoy senior-citizen and child-friendly discounts; Egret VIP members gain access to the exclusive “Love Home of Guests” privileges, and a new step-up reward program has been added to help them qualify and upgrade. To guarantee service continuity, Xiamen Airlines has also drawn up transition plans-including VIP-status extensions-to ensure that existing member rights remain stable and uninterrupted.
