Xiamen Airlines Partners with Michelin Guide to Launch Fujian Taste Tour

On December 3, 2024, Xiamen Airlines and Michelin Guide witnessed the unveiling of the Michelin Guide Fujian 2025, in Xiamen, the beautiful "Sea-kissed Garden". Xiamen Airlines is the official partner in this cross-border cooperation with Michelin Guide, which is not only an innovative linkage between air travel and fine dining, but also a glamorous fusion between Fujian's local customs and practices and international trends in the world.

Over the years, Xiamen Airlines has made unremitting efforts to improve its service quality, and has launched "A Starred Journey" high-end catering service for first class with a number of Michelin-starred restaurants, such as Taian Table, Meet the Bund, and Chef Tam's Seasons, and has become the first domestic airline to bring the menus of Michelin three-starred restaurants up to 10,000 meters in the air. The continuous efforts in providing high-quality air travel services have also helped Xiamen Airlines win the "World Class award" award from the world-renowned airline service evaluation organization APEX for three consecutive years, the first Chinese airline to be honored. The partnership between Xiamen Airlines and Michelin Guide stems from the high compatibility between the two parties in international vision and the quality pursuit. Through the partnership, they hope to bring foodies with an authoritative list of high-standard restaurant recommendations in Fujian, which is located at the intersection of mountains and seas, rich in natural resources, and to open up a creative journey of "Star Appreciation in Great Taste".

Recommending a total of 69 restaurants, the 2025 Michelin Guide of Fujian Province includes 5 restaurants awarded One MICHELIN Star, 47 with a Bib Gourmand and 17 Michelin Guide selected restaurants. While respecting the heritage of the classic Fujian cuisine, the Michelin Guide encourages the diversified fusion of flavors, fully demonstrating the vibrant charm of Fujian catering. At the launch site, industry experts, chef teams and media partners from all over the country experienced the exclusive cabin scenes and service products created by Xiamen Airlines, and felt Xiamen Airlines' service concept of "refined services, respectful services, considerate services, and quality services" everywhere.

At the launch, Chef XiamenAir, as the special guest, presented guests with a fusion of Fujian characteristics and world flavors - Iberian Ham with Porcini Mushroom and Red Onion Cooked Rice. With inspiration coming from Chef XiamenAir's philosophy of "Sustainable Cuisine", fresh porcini mushrooms from the "Xiamen Airlines Farm" in Yunnan are selected, paired with the classic red onions and Hetian chicken from Fujian, to bring delicious taste and great flavor from the farm to the dinner table through the interpretation of the "two fires".

Xiamen Airlines has launched the theme flight "riding the wings of egrets, seizing the stars together", launched the "Min-Chao Linkage" airborne food and wine service with the three-starred restaurant Chao Shang Chao (Chaoyang), which has been listed in the Michelin Guide Beijing 2025, and helped bring quality ingredients to the plane to promote rural revitalization through the "Farm to Star Program". As an official partner, Xiamen Airlines has previously warmed up for the event with a series of initiatives, which have received many positive reviews.
