Headquartered in Xiamen City, Fujian Province–the southeast coast of China, Xiamen Airlines is founded in 1984 as China's first airline created in accordance with the modern corporate system. After 35 years of sustainable development, Xiamen Airlines has become an airline with distinctive characteristics in China’s civil aviation industry.
Xiamen Airlines, a member of the SkyTeam Alliance with an air carrier code of “MF”, has an annual passenger traffic volume of nearly 40 million passengers, attracts more than 10 million passengers on its frequent flyer program - Egret Miles. Xiamen Airlines currently operates around 350 domestic and international routes, which forms a network covering the entire China and with a strong presence in Southeast and Northeast Asia. In recent years, as new intercontinental routes to Amsterdam, Sydney, New York, Los Angeles, etc. were opened consecutively, our network has prospered and reached Europe, America and Oceania, and extended to all major destinations around the world via SkyTeam Alliance.
As of January 2020, the size of Xiamen Airlines’ fleet has reached to 206 airplanes with an average age of 6years, making it one of the youngest fleets in the world.
At present, Xiamen Airlines has total assets of over 55 billion yuan and net assets of more than 17 billion yuan, with an asset-liability ratio of 67%. We keep the record of remaining profitable for the longest period in China’s civil aviation industry, and is the only one in China to have a 33-year track record of profitable operations. Xiamen Airlines enjoys the highest international financial rating among Chinese airlines. And among the 240-plus IATA members, we rank among the top 20 in terms of total profit and the top 10 in terms of operating profit ratio.
In pursuing development, Xiamen Airlines has been fulfilling its corporate social responsibility through poverty alleviation, issuance of student grants, volunteering services, energy conservation, emission reduction, environmental protection, and involvement in public welfare activities. On February 15, 2017, Xiamen Airlines signed an agreement with the United Nations at its New York headquarter to work with the UN on the Sustainable Development Goals.
In the future, Xiamen Airlines will continue to fulfill its mission of “take more people to explore the world”. While maintaining our existing advantages, we will focus on transformation and innovation, expanding the navigation service chain and mass customer base, and building a regional network. We will also accelerate the coverage of intercontinental routes to provide customers with worthwhile travel experience and realize the corporate vision of “excellent performance and steady growth”.
