Xiamen Airlines Launches Service on Route Xiamen – Tokyo

Following the enabling of route Xiamen – Amsterdam, Xiamen Airlines officially launched service on route Xiamen – Tokyo on August 6 to continue to vigorously expand the international market.

Xiamen Airlines used B787 Dreamliner to operate this route on 2/4/6/7 each week. The outbound flight, MF829, takes off from Xiamen airport at 10:00 and arrives at Tokyo Narita Airport at 14:45 with flying time of 3 hours and 45 minutes; the inbound flight, MF830, takes off from Tokyo at 15:55 and arrives at Xiamen at 19:15 with flying time of 4 hours and 20 minutes. The market demand for travelling to Japan continues to boom. Xiamen Airlines has successively launched service on route Xiamen – Osaka and Fuzhou – Osaka. The route Xiamen – Osaka newly launched this time achieved 95% of passenger load factor for return flights on the date of inaugural flight, of which more than 60% were from touring groups. In addition, Xiamen Airlines will launch charter flights between Fuzhou, Xiamen – Kumamoto, Nagasaki of Japan during the National Day holiday so as to comprehensively build a flight wave of traveling from Fujian Province to Japan and to provide the public with more convenience.

It is understood that it is the first time in the history of Xiamen Airlines for it to launch direct flight service on routes to Tokyo, the Narita Airport of which is Japan's largest international airport. Together with the existing international and regional routes to Seoul, Singapore, Taipei, Hong Kong and Bangkok, Xiamen Airlines' international route network has completed the full coverage over hub airports in East and Southeast Asia.
