1.1 MF ticketing agencies shall strictly follow the fare terms and conditions stipulated herein and shall not increase or decrease fares without authorization.
1.2 The fare for interline, return and open-jaw tickets consists of the fare for the corresponding reservation class for each segment. Corresponding provisions are applicable for the class of each segment.
1.3 These terms and conditions apply to FIT passengers who meet the requirements herein. For other booking classes and conditions not specified herein, please refer to Xiamen Airlines General Conditions of Domestic Carriage for Passengers & Baggage.
1.4 MF ticketing agency shall inform passengers onabove terms and conditions upon ticket purchasing.
1.5 These fare conditions apply to FIT passengers on the classes of service for MF domestic flights. Fares for other unspecified classes of service, group fares, and promotion fares are subject to the individual rules specified.
These terms and conditions apply to Xiamen Airlines–operated domestic flights and MF-coded, other carriers-operated domestic flights ticketed on Xiamen Airlines’ domestic ticket stock (including BSP tickets confirmed by “731”). and also apply to Xiamen Airlines’ domestic flights ticketed on the ticket stock of other carriers which have signed sub-class sales agreements with Xiamen Airlines.
3.1 Unless otherwise specified, a partially used ticket is valid for carriage for one year from the date of commencement of travel, while an wholly unused or open ticket is valid for one year from the date of issuance.
3.2 If the first segment of a ticket has been used, the entire ticket or the conjunction ticket is valid for one year from the date of commencement of travel. The original validity will remain unchanged regardless of whether the flight or the ticket is changed further. For a wholly unused ticket, once reissued, the new ticket shall be valid for one year from the date of travel. a reissued ticket of which when the first segment is unused, or an open ticket, is valid for one year from the reissue date.
3.3 The validity of a ticket runs from midnight on the date of commencement of travel or the date of issuance until midnight on the date of expiration.
4.1 Reservations shall be made according to the class of service specified in the fare rules.
4.2 The time limit for ticket issuance depends on the information specified in the booking system. A reservation shall be canceled if the ticket is not issued before the specified time limit.
4.3 The ticket shall be issued according to the corresponding class of service. The fare classes, fares, and endorsement (EI) fields shall be completed properly; for discounted fares, “Non-endorsable / changeable / refundable fees apply” shall be marked in the EI field or marked according to the rules for a specific product.
4.4 Fare, or fare shown on ticket, refers to the actual amount indicated on the ticket, excluding taxes and charges such as the Civil Aviation Development Fund (Airport Tax) and fuel surcharge. The ticket fare, which is rounded up to 10 CNY, is filled in based on the actual payment by the passenger. The specific fare is subject to the fare listed in the reservation system.
4.5 Open tickets
Open tickets refer to the tickets without specifying the flight number and flight date, and shall be subject to the applicable rules for the class of service listed in the table below. The reservation for the first segment shall be made when an open ticket is issued and the reservation for all segments shall be made when an open ticket is not allowed .
4.6 Flight coupons shall be used in sequence; otherwise, the unused segments shall be refunded against the flight coupons for such segments according to the refund rules for the corresponding reservation class.
5.1 A Change here refers to a change in the flight number, date, reservation class, routing or carrier.
5.2 A Change Fee refers to the fee charged by Xiamen Airlines for a passenger’s voluntary request to change the original booking flight, based on the applicable fare terms and conditions, including the fees for changing the flight, date, reservation classes, etc.
5.3 A Refund Fee refers to the fee charged by Xiamen Airlines for a passenger’s voluntary request to cancel the original booking flight according to the applicable fare terms and conditions.
5.4 Fare Difference refers to the difference arising from a passenger’s request to change a lower fare to a higher one.
5.5 The Scheduled Departure Time refers to the departure time of a flight displayed on the E-ticket itinerary. When a passenger voluntarily requests for a change or refund, the scheduled departure time of each segment is subject to the time of the last change made , and the change or refund fees shall be calculated based on the time the reservation is canceled.
5.6 The change/refund fees or fare difference of classes of service listed in the table below are based on the GDS Displayed Fares as per the classes of service, with the amount rounded up to 1 yuan.
5.7 A Certificate of Irregular Flight is not the unique proof to request an involuntary change/refund. A passenger shall confirm the flight irregularity through one of Xiamen Airlines’ ticketing offices (or by contacting our call center no. 95557) before applying for such an involuntary change/refund. A reservation cancellation/refund before the information on flight irregularity is released shall be charged the same as for a voluntary change/refund.
5.8 Voluntary Change:
5.8.1 Flight/Date change for Class F/J tickets and child tickets calculated based on such classes: Free of charge for a change made 7 days or earlier before the scheduled departure time; 5% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 7 days but 48 hours or above before the scheduled departure time; 5% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 48 hours but 4 hours or above before the departure time; 10% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 4 hours before the scheduled departure time or after the flight departure; free of charge for a flight/date change made for a child ticket calculated based on F/J classes.
5.8.2 Flight/Date change for Class C tickets: 5% of the fare shown on ticket shall be charged for a change made 7days or earlier before the scheduled departure time; 10% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 7 days but 48 hours or above before the scheduled departure time; 15% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 48 hours but 4 hours or above before the departure time; 20% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 4 hours before the scheduled departure time or after theflight departure.
5.8.3 Flight/Date change for Class D tickets: 5% of the fare shown on ticket shall be charged for a change made 7 days or earlier before the scheduled departure time; 15% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 7 days but 48 hours or above before the scheduled departure time; 20% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 48 hours but 4 hours or above before the departure time; 30% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 4 hours before the scheduled departure time or after the flight departure.
5.8.4 Flight/Date change for Class I tickets: 10% of the fare shown on ticket shall be charged for a change made 7 days or earlier before the scheduled departure time; 20% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 7 days but 48 hours or above before the scheduled departure time; 25% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 48 hours but 4 hours or above before the departure time; 35% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 4 hours before the scheduled departure time or after the flight departure.
5.8.5 Flight/Date change for Class Y/H tickets and the child tickets calculated based on such classes: Free of charge for a change made 7 days or earlier before the scheduled departure time; 5% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 7 days but 48 hours or above before the scheduled departure time; 5% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 48 hours but 4 hours or above before the departure time; 10% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 4 hours before the scheduled departure time or after the flight departure; free of charge for a flight/date change made for a child ticket calculated based on Y/H classes.
5.8.6 Flight/Date change for Class B/M/L tickets: 5% of the fare shown on ticket shall be charged for a change made 7 days or earlier before the scheduled departure time; 10% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 7 days but 48 hours or above before the scheduled departure time; 20% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 48 hours but 4 hours or above before the departure time; 30% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 4 hours before the scheduled departure time or after the flight departure.
5.8.7 Flight/Date change for Class K/N/Q tickets: 5% of the fare shown on ticket shall be charged for a change made 7 days or earlier before the scheduled departure time; 20% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 7 days but 48 hours or abovebefore the scheduled departure time; 30% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 48 hours but 4 hours or abovebefore the departure time; 40% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 4 hours before the scheduled departure time or after the flight departure.
5.8.8 Flight/Date change for Class V/T/R/U/Z tickets: 10% of the fare shown on ticket shall be charged for a change made seven days or more before the scheduled departure time; 30% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 7 days (7th day excluded) but more than 48 hours before the scheduled departure time; 50% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 48 hours but more than 4 hours before the departure time; 70% of the fare shown on ticket for a change made within 4 hours of the scheduled departure time or after flight departure.
5.8.9 Flight/Date change for Class H/P/Q/S/Z tickets, when such classes are used for tickets other than the fares for single trip economy classes, shall be subject to the fare terms and conditions for their respective classes.
5.8.10 If there is no fare difference after a change, the change fee will be charged according to the applicable regulations; if there is a fare difference, then the following rules shall apply:
a) For a change from a higher-fare class to a lower-fare one, the rules for voluntary refund shall be applied; for a change from a lower-fare class to a higher-fare one, both change fees and the fare difference shall be charged; only the change fee shall be charged if there is no fare difference.
b) For a change of the same class or with a sub-class, both change fees and the fare difference shall be charged. If the new ticket fare is lower, the difference will not be refunded (the original fare shall be shown on the new ticket). In this case, only the change fee will be charged or the rules for voluntary refund shall apply.
c) For each change, the fare shall be recalculated. If the fare of the required class has not been published, the change request shall not be accepted even if the class is open, or the rules for voluntary refund shall apply.
d) For a change from a lower class of service to a higher one while the flight and flight date remain unchanged (e.g., from Economy Class to Business Class), the change may be made free of charge at our designated self-operated airport counter or authorized ground handling agencies. Only the fare difference will be charged when a new ticket is issued. “Voluntary upgrade” shall be noted in the endorsement field when the new ticket is issued.
e) If a changed reservation class needs a further change, the applicable fare terms and conditions for the changed class shall apply. The fees paid for the previous change shall not be refunded.
f) In the event of an adjustment in GDS fares, at the time such a change is made, the real-time fare listed in the reservation system shall prevail and the change fee shall be charged based on the terms and conditions before the change. Overpayment will not be refunded while fare difference shall be made up.
g) The voluntary change for FIT single trip, interline, return and open-jaw tickets shall only be applied for at our ticketing offices or authorized air agencies. If an air ticket agency collects the relevant fees using the Refund and Change Service Fees Form or the Electronic Miscellaneous Bill (EMD), a change description indicating the original ticket number, class of service and reservation shall be shown on the above-mentioned form or EMD. The change fees and fare difference shall be filled in separately.
5.8.11 For a voluntary change of routing, the rules for voluntary refund shall apply.
5.8.12 For return, open-jaw or interline tickets issued on the FIT fare for different classes of service, special fares or package prices, when unused or partially used, a ticket change shall be subject to the rules for the respective classes of service. Change fees shall be calculated based on the fare of the changed segment, while the endorsement field shall be marked according to the stricter rules for a change.
5.9 Voluntary Refund
5.9.1 Refund for Class F/J tickets and the child tickets calculated based on such classes: 5% of the fare shown on ticket shall be charged for a refund made 7 days or earlier before the scheduled departure time; 5% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 7 days but 48 hours or above before the scheduled departure time; 5% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 48 hours but 4 hours or above before the departure time; 10% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 4 hours before the scheduled departure time or after the flight departure. The refund for infant tickets is calculated based on Class F/J and the refund for concessionary tickets for disabled revolutionary soldiers and police with service-connected disability shall be exempted from fees.
5.9.2 Refund for Class C tickets: 5% of the fare shown on ticket shall be charged for a refund made 7 days or earlier before the scheduled departure time; 15% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 7 days but 48 hours or abovebefore the scheduled departure time; 25% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 48 hours but 4 hours or abovebefore the departure time; 30% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 4 hours before the scheduled departure time or after the flight departure.
5.9.3 Refund for Class D tickets: 10% of the fare shown on ticket shall be charged for a refund made 7 days or more before the scheduled departure time; 25% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 7 days but 48 hours or abovebefore the scheduled departure time; 40% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 48 hours but 4 hours or abovebefore the departure time; 50% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 4 hours before the scheduled departure time or after the flight departure.
5.9.4 Refund for Class I tickets: 15% of the fare shown on ticket shall be charged for a refund made 7 days or before the scheduled departure time; 30% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 7 days but 48 hours or above before the scheduled departure time; 50% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 48 hours but 4 hours or above before the departure time; 60% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 4 hours before the scheduled departure time or after the flight departure.
5.9.5 Refund for Class Y/H tickets and the child tickets calculated based on such classes: 5% of the fare shown on ticket shall be charged for a refund made 7 days or before the scheduled departure time; 5% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 7 days but 48 hours or above before the scheduled departure time; 10% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 48 hours but 4 hours or abovebefore the departure time; 20% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 4 hours before the scheduled departure time or after the flight departure. The refund for infant tickets calculated based on Class Y and the refund for concessionary tickets for disabled revolutionary soldiers and police with service-connected disability shall be exempted from fees.
5.9.6 Refund for Class B/M/L tickets: 10% of the fare shown on ticket shall be charged for a refund made 7 days or earlier before the scheduled departure time; 15% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 7 days but 48 hours or above before the scheduled departure time; 30% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 48 hours but 4 hours or abovebefore the departure time; 40% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 4 hours before the scheduled departure time or after flight departure.
5.9.7 Refund for K/N/Q tickets: 20% of the fare shown on ticket shall be charged for a refund made 7 days or earlier before the scheduled departure time; 30% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 7 days but 48 hours or above before the scheduled departure time; 40% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 48 hours but 4 hours or abovebefore the departure time; 50% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 4 hours before the scheduled departure time or after the flight departure.
5.9.8 Refund for V/T/R/U/Z tickets: 20% of the fare shown on ticket shall be charged for a refund made 7 days or earlier before the scheduled departure time; 40% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 7 days but 48 hours or above before the scheduled departure time; 70% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 48 hours but 4 hours or above before the departure time; 90% of the fare shown on ticket for a refund made within 4 hours before the scheduled departure time or after the flight departure.
5.9.9 Flight/Date change for Class H/P/Q/S/Z tickets, when such classes are used for tickets other than the fares for single trip economy classes, shall be subject to the fare terms and conditions for such specific tickets.
5.9.10 For a refund requested after a voluntary flight/date change is made, the paid change fee is not refundable; for a refund after a voluntary change to a reservation class, the fare shown on ticket and the rules for the reservation class before the last change shall apply. The refund fee shall be calculated based on the time of cancellation of the new reservation. The fare difference of the last upgrade will be refunded in full.
5.9.11 For return, open jaw or interline tickets issued on the FIT fare for different classes of service, special prices or package prices, when all the tickets are unused, the balance shall be refunded after the refund fee based on the corresponding class of service is deducted from the amount paid; when partially used, the balance shall be refunded after the fare shown on ticket for the used segments and the refund fees based on the corresponding class of service for the unused segments are deducted. Special fares and product fares are subject to specific regulations if otherwise specified.
5.9.12 Passengers shall request a refund within 30 calendar days from the expiration date of the ticket; requests beyond this time limit will not be accepted. If a ticket expires, the payment for the fare, Civil Aviation Development Fund and fuel surcharge are not refundable.
5.9.13 The refund fee for an open ticket shall be charged according to the applicable terms and conditions of “seven days or earlier before the scheduled departure time” corresponding to its reservation class.
5.10 Loss of ticket(s) shall be subject to the rules of Xiamen Airlines General Conditions of Domestic Carriage for Passengers & Baggage.
6.1 Endorsement of tickets shall be performed in accordance with the relevant endorsement agreements.
6.2 For Class F/J/Y tickets (including discounted tickets), endorsement shall be made after the fare difference is made up.
6.3 Voluntary endorsement for child or infant tickets calculated based on Class F/J/Y is allowed.
6.4 If the applicable fare by the carrier to be endorsed is higher than that of Xiamen Airlines, endorsement shall be made after the fare difference is made up; if the applicable fare by the carrier is lower than that of Xiamen Airlines, endorsement is allowed with the fare difference being non-refundable, or the rules for voluntary refund shall apply.
6.5 For a ticket endorsement, a change fee, calculated based on the time of endorsement, shall be charged according to the terms and conditions hereof.
6.6 For other tickets not eligible for a voluntary endorsement, when requested, the discount shall be made up in full and a change fee charged before such an endorsement is made, and the rules for a voluntary refund shall apply.
7.1 Child ticket fare is 50% of the full fare of Class F/J/Y for adults; infant ticket fare is 10% of the full fare of Class F/J/Y for adults; other passengers shall follow the rules of Xiamen Airlines General Conditions of Domestic Carriage for Passengers & Baggage.
7.2 Child or infant tickets purchased based on classes other than Class F/J/Y at the adult fare shall apply to the terms and conditions equivalent to those of adults; For Class C/D/I/R/U/Z, child tickets must be sold as same as adult fare and shall apply to the same terms and conditions e asadults; Normal child or infant fare for children or infants (i.e., special tickets with 50% and 90% off respectively full adult fare) shall be based on the actual payment by the passenger and apply to the terms and conditions for the original reservation class (Class F/J/Y).
7.3 The airport construction fee and fuel surcharge for child and infant tickets are subject to the specific rules for children and infants. “CHD” shall be suffixed after the name of a child passenger. Only for tickets marked with “CHD,” the Civil Aviation Development Fund (Airport Tax) and 50% of the fuel surcharge may be waived.
7.4 To ensure flight safety, the number of infant passengers on board is limited, so infant tickets shall be applied for in advance. Failing to make an infant reservation in advance or purchasing an infant ticket at the airport ticketing counter right before the scheduled departure time may result in the passenger’s request being rejected due to limits on the number of infants on board for flight safety.
7.5 An infant is not eligible for a seat free of charge. When a seat is required, an infant ticket shall be bought for the infant. When an adult travels with more than one infant, an infant ticket or tickets shall be purchased for the infant(s) that exceed(s) the limit. An infant with a ticket is eligible for a seat. A minor passenger under 18 years old is not allowed to travel with an infant, unless the infant is his or her ownone.
7.6 When purchasing a ticket for minors, at least one adult passenger shall be in the same class of service with him or her. A minor passenger is not eligible to purchase an Economy, Business or First Class ticket. When an adult passenger traveling with minor passengers alone requests a change in the class of service, the class of the minor passengers shall be changed simultaneously to keep the adult and minors in the same class of service.
7.7 In addition to the existing rules for ticketing minors, a minor passenger shall be accompanied by an adult passenger of18 years or older. Each adult passenger may travel with no more than two minors under 12 years old in the same class of service. When unaccompanied minors or those exceeding the specified number (including those who purchase a ticket at the adult fare) travel by air, the rules for unaccompanied minors shall apply. This is only applicable to children who are at least 5 but under 12 years old. The unaccompanied minors under 5 are not allowed to travel alone.
7.8 Tickets for unaccompanied minors shall not be redeemed with Egret Club miles. Only F/J/Y classes are available for unaccompanied minors; the fare is 50% of the F/J/Y full fare.
7.9 Passengers are only allowed to pay for extra seats (EXST) for comfort or for bulky baggage (CBBG) at full fare or other discounted fares. Taxes and fees such as the Civil Aviation Development Fund and fuel surcharges are charged as usual. Special fares, package fares or other discounted fares are not applicable to passengers who need a stretcher. They should purchase three economy class tickets at full fare, but the Civil Aviation Development Fund and fuel surcharge will only be charged once.
The rules of Xiamen Airlines General Conditions of Domestic Carriage for Passengers & Baggage shall apply.
9.1 Time for a refund due to illness
A passenger who is unable to travel due to illness and requests a refund must apply for the refund and cancel the reservation before the scheduled departure time indicated on the ticket. If the passenger fails to cancel the reservation as required, the refund shall be handled as a voluntary one.
9.2 Place for a refund due to illness
9.2.1 A passenger may apply for a refund due to illness at one of Xiamen Airlines’ ticketing offices or an authorized air agency.
9.2.2 Passengers who purchase tickets from Xiamen Airlines’ official website/WeChat/app:
Passengers may call the Xiamen Airlines Call Center (95557) before the scheduled departure time indicated on the ticket. Following the instructions of our customer service staff, they may apply for a refund by providing the documents required under Art. 9.3.1 by scanning, photographing, faxing, etc. The original E-ticket Itinerary shall also be returned for a refund. The relevant documents on a sickness refund shall be sent to our customer service center by courier or parcel post no later than 30 calendar days after the scheduled departure time, subject to the time of receipt of the courier or parcel post.
9.3 Requirements for a refund due to illness
9.3.1 The required supporting documents:
Passengers are required to provide the original and a photo copy of the valid ID document when the ticket was bought along with an authentic and valid certificate of diagnosis (Proof of Illness / Medical Certificate) issued by a competent medical institution above county level (or Class II or above), medical records, and a payment slip issued before the scheduled departure time indicated on the tickets with an amount of at least 100 yuan. Upon a refund being requested, the original document shall be presented and a photo copy submitted. If our requirements are met and the documents have no errors or omissions upon review, the refund fee may be waived.
9.3.1 Those accompanying the sick passenger on the same flight and routing shall apply for reservation cancellation and refund at the same time, with the refund fees of no more than two passengers being waived. The refund fees for the passengers beyond two are not waived and shall be charged following the rules for the corresponding class of service. If the accompanying members have not cancelled their reservations and applied for a refund at the same time and place, the waiver of refund fees for two members shall not apply. In such cases, the refund fees shall be collected following the rules for the corresponding class of service.
9.3.2 If the sick passenger applies for a refund or makes the reservation cancellation after the scheduled departure time indicated on the ticket, or the documents submitted fail to comply with our requirements upon review, the refund fees shall not be waived for the sick passenger and his or her accompanying members and shall be collected following the rules for the corresponding class of service.
9.4 Refund policy for the death of a passenger or close relatives
9.4.1 In case of the death of a passenger or a close relative before the scheduled departure time indicated on the ticket, the rules for involuntary refund shall apply;
9.4.2 In case of the death of the passenger, no more than 2 persons traveling with the passenger on the same flight and routing may apply for a refund; in such a case, the rules for involuntary refund shall apply;
9.4.3 In case of the death of the passenger’s close relatives, only he or she may request a refund; in such a case, the rules for involuntary refund shall apply. Close Relatives refer to the passenger’s parents, parents -in-law, spouse or children only.
9.4.4 A Certificate of Death issued by a competent authority of the country where the death occurred shall be submitted when applying for such refunds. When applying for a refund for a passenger’s deceased close relatives, the documents issued by the competent national authority proving the relationship between the passenger and the deceased close relatives shall also be submitted.
10.1 These applicable terms and conditions apply to tickets sold and used on or after October 28, 2018. Those sold and used before this date shall be governed by the relevant rules of the original applicable conditions.
10.2 Xiamen Airlines has the right to modify its Conditions of Carriage, regulations, fares and charges without notice. However, no such modifications shall apply to carriage that took place prior to the modifications.
10.3 No authorized air agency, authorized ground handling agency of Xiamen Airlines, or employee of any such agency, is entitled to violate or modify the Conditions of Carriage, regulations, fares and charges applicable to Xiamen Airlines.
